Published on the occasion of the exhibition for the fiftieth anniversary of Studio65 at the GAM in Turin, the city where the studio was founded in 1965, Il Mercante di Nuvole retraces half a century of the group's groundbreaking practice

From the years of occupation of the Turin architecture school in 1967, when Studio65 developed its ironic, critical, and irreverent design attitude, to the first interior projects in which the Bocca sofa, the Capitello, and the Baby-lonia were born, and then looking for interesting opportunities that would allow us to continue believing that it was possible to design and realize dreams to make the world better.

Introduced by a preface by Danilo Eccher, the monograph presents essays by Maria Cristina Didero, Marco Sammicheli, Gianni Pettena, Franco Audrito and contributions by Silvana Annicchiarico, Tulga Beyerle, Lapo Binazzi (UFO), Jan Boelen, Pino Brugellis, Aric Chen, Domitilla Dardi, Fulvio Ferrari, Galit Gaon, Lilli Hollein, Axel Iberti, Dakis Joannou, Birgit Lohmann, Alessandro Mendini, Francesca Molteni, Paola Nicolin, Bruno Orlandoni, Gaetano Pesce, Gianni Pettena, Cloe Piccoli, Marie Pok, Franco Raggi, Alice Rawsthorn, Catharine Rossi, Zoe Ryan, Marco Sammicheli, Jana Scholze, Mathias Schwartz-Clauss, Giovanna Silva, Evan Snyderman, Ferruccio Tartaglia, and Alexander von Vegesack.
